Frequently Asked Questions
Currently accepting new clients!
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
For 47-53 minutes sessions I charge $190 and is pro-rated for longer sessions or shorter check-ins.
Calls less than 15 minutes and less an once a week are included in the fees for sessions. About 25-45% of my clients are sliding scale. When working out a manageable fee: income, rent, dependents (local and international), and bills are considered.
DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?
UPDATE: All sliding scale appointments are filled. I do not expect sliding scale appointments to open before August 2022. If you would like to be put on the waiting list fill free to email us. I will update here and my Open Pathways profile when more slots are available or are open.
Other providers offer sliding scale through Open Pathways Psychotherapy Collective. This is an organization which lists providers willing to offer sessions for $30-$80. Apply to be eligible for this service here.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
Normally 47-53 minutes. Collaborative Off-site support varies greatly.
WHAT INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?
We do not accept insurance.
I am happy to provide a Superbill so you can utilize your Out of Network (OON) benefits
or support you self-advocating for sliding scale rates.
WHAT IS THERAPY LIKE?
It depends on what you want out of it. Meetings have been be in an office before the pandemic. Now we meet over the internet, or by phone if requested. In the first meetings, we get a sense of each other and talk about what we would like to get out of therapy. After that meetings can include: goal setting, laughing, crying, processing the past, present, and/or future. We strive to adapt to each individual's life, needs, and wants.
ARE YOU HIRING?
Only the right people who are able to best serve our community. See more at Join Our Team.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Offer remote sessions currently through video and phone.
We encourage remote therapy to keep our communities safe and understand some need access to in-person therapy. All staff are vaccinated and have conversations around risk and risk management with each client on a regular biases. This is one of many ways we prioritize safety and consent.
