Joining the Team

Part-Time Psychotherapist 

We are a sliding scale, justice-focused, psychotherapy practice with a special commitment to serve queer & trans communities and communities of color. Supervision and office space/ supplies are provided and included.

Required

  • Experience with/knowledge of people of color and transgender, gender expansive, and non-binary folks

  • Experience with/ knowledge of interpersonal trauma, minority stress, and grief

  • Registered as a ACSW, AMFT, APCC or licensed as a LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Psychologist in the state of California

  • Willingness to engage with and understanding of electronic health records and remote therapy

  • Willingness to complete all documentation in a timely manner


Preferred

  • Bilingual in languages commonly found in the South Bay Area (Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Hindi, etc.), ability to provide therapy in the non-English language

  • Experience/ Knowledge of San Jose area, tech, and legal systems especially around victims of crime

  • Able and willing to write articles and post on social media on behalf of the practice and directed towards the communities we serve


People with lived experience around systems of opression are encouraged to apply.
This therapist position would be at the office in San Jose, The Alameda. This would be a fee-for-service position. Supervision is provided and places a high emphasis on investing in the folx that are a part of the practice. There are opportunities to advance in the practice.
